La tentación clásica, al ver seis tipos de máquina, es clasificar: hacer una tabla, un árbol, una jerarquía. Morin rechaza esa operación. Las seis máquinas no están una al lado de la otra como categorías estancas — están una dentro de otra, y todas atravesadas por las demás. The classical temptation, on seeing six kinds of machine, is to classify: build a table, a tree, a hierarchy. Morin refuses that operation. The six machines do not lie side by side as sealed categories — they sit one inside another, and all are traversed by the others.
Una célula contiene los átomos que cocinó una estrella; una polis contiene células humanas; una idea vive en cerebros que viven en polis. Pero también al revés: una estrella es pensada (idea), una idea organiza polis, una polis modela células (epidemiología, eugenesia, medicina). La inclusión no es lineal — es recursiva. A cell contains atoms cooked by a star; a polis contains human cells; an idea lives in brains that live in cities. But also the reverse: a star is thought (idea), an idea organizes cities, a city models cells (epidemiology, eugenics, medicine). Inclusion is not linear — it is recursive.

Cuando varias máquinas se anidan, no resulta una suma sino una polimáquina cosmogénica: un sistema cuya identidad emerge del juego entre niveles. When several machines nest, the result is not a sum but a cosmogenic polymachine: a system whose identity emerges from the play across levels. A human being is not "a cell plus a mind plus a society": it is a polymachine whose unity exists only in the simultaneous braid of the three scales. Untangle the braid and the being is destroyed.

El anidamiento no abolió la autonomía de cada máquina. The cell only partially obeys the polis; the idea is not reducible to the brain that sustains it; the star remains a star whether or not someone thinks it. Each machine keeps its own regime within the nesting. That's why the whole is never totalitarian: there is always play, friction, possible novelty.

Un modelo (artefacto-máquina trivial-no-trivial-híbrida) ejecuta en servidores refrigerados por torbellinos de agua (disipativa), alimentados por electricidad producida en última instancia por una estrella, operados por equipos humanos (polis), entrenados sobre textos que son cristalizaciones de ideas, usados por células nerviosas humanas. La IA actual solo existe como nodo dentro de la polimáquina — y por eso desplaza, no reemplaza, a las otras. Current AI only exists as a node within the polymachine — which is why it displaces, doesn't replace, the others.

No es la frase "todo está conectado con todo". The nesting is a concrete map, not a vague cosmic metaphor.

Pensar polimáquinas excede a cualquier disciplina. El anidamiento exige transdisciplina, y eso choca con la organización académica, con las carreras y con la división del trabajo intelectual. Thinking polymachines exceeds any single discipline. Biology covers the cell, physics the star, sociology the polis, philosophy the idea — but no one is prepared to think all six at once. Nesting demands transdiscipline, and that collides with academic organization, careers and the intellectual division of labour.
También es incómodo políticamente: si toda acción humana es nodo en una polimáquina, ningún actor (estado, mercado, individuo) es soberano. La idea desarma el voluntarismo individualista y el determinismo estructural. Sostener el anidamiento exige aceptar una agencia distribuida, repartida entre niveles. It is also politically uncomfortable: if every human action is a node in a polymachine, no actor (state, market, individual) is sovereign. The idea disarms individualist voluntarism and structural determinism. To sustain the nesting one must accept distributed agency, spread across levels.
